PKC Symposium: towards a better understanding of the pediatric immune system

How can we better understand the development and maturation of the immune system to optimize treatments for pediatric cancers?

This central question was at the heart of the first international symposium organized by the Paris Kids Cancer (PKC) pediatric oncology research center, held on June 5 and 6 at the Imagine Institute in Paris.

The fruit of a strategic collaboration between AP-HP (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris), Gustave Roussy and Institut Curie, Paris Kids Cancer benefits from the label and funding of the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). This initiative federates the skills of teams in the Paris region from research and care centers, universities and parents’ associations. Its aim: to create a synergy of expertise in pediatric oncology to accelerate the development of innovative new therapeutic approaches.

Sylvain Latour presented inborn errors of immunity predisposing to cancer.
